šŸ“ Step-by-Step Instructions (Toast)

Order prep times can be updated from both Toast Web and the POS to control when orders are released to the kitchen and what timing is shown to guests. These updates are commonly used during rushes, staffing shortages, or unexpected delays.

From Toast Web:

  1. Navigate to theĀ Takeout & deliveryĀ page.

  2. Update the standard prep time or add a delay. You must selectĀ Publish all changesĀ at the top of the page to apply these delays

From the POS:

  1. From the main menu dashboard, navigate to eitherĀ Pending OrdersĀ orĀ Orders Hub.
  2. From here, select eitherĀ Manage Online OrdersĀ (in the Orders Hub)Ā ******orĀ Throttle Online OrdersĀ (in the Pending Orders screen) in the upper right corner.
  3. UnderĀ On, select the delay (in minutes) for either Takeout or Delivery.
  4. Then selectĀ OkĀ to save your changes.
