Use this guide when a customer wants to redeem their loyalty rewards during an in-store checkout or online/in the app.

Customers can redeem loyalty rewards in-store and online / in the app. Rewards are tied to their phone number and will automatically display if the customer has enough value to cover a full item in their cart.
📝 Step-by-Step Instructions (Toast)
Customers can redeem loyalty rewards directly from the POS.
On the POS, add the customer’s items to a tab
Click on the ‘Rewards’ button on the main screen
Click on the ‘Look Up Customer’ button
In the Apply Rewards pop-up, select Lookup
Look up the customer by the phone number attached to their loyalty account
Select the customer and click Done
A new popup will appear with the customer’s available rewards
Select the rewards the customer would like to use
Depending on your loyalty program, customers may see a $ amount, but the POS displays points. To match the values: Points ÷ 100 = Dollars
📝 Step-by-Step Instructions (Online / In-App)
Customers can redeem loyalty rewards directly in their online account or in-app once logged in.
When a customer is adding an item to their cart, a toggle will be available if they have enough loyalty to cover the cost of the item.
When the toggle is enabled, the customer is able to add the item to their cart for $0.00
If the customer does not have enough loyalty to cover the item, they will see how much they have to earn to cover the price of the item
💡 Tips
If a customer cannot be found, confirm their phone number is the one used for online ordering.
Rewards cannot be partially applied — the customer must have enough value for the full item.
Loyalty rewards automatically update in real time based on the customer’s balance.
