Use this guide to understand how customers can purchase gift cards, whether they’re buying online / in the app or in store.

Gift cards can be redeemed seamlessly ****in the app, online, or in store. Customers can add a gift card to their account once and use the balance automatically at checkout until it’s fully used.
📝 Step-by-Step Instructions (Toast)
From the payment screen on the POS, view the balance due
Select Gift Card.
Apply the gift card using one of the following methods:
Swipe the physical gift card
Key in the gift card number
Scanning the QR code on a physical gift card will not work
If the gift card balance covers the full order, the transaction will complete.
If the gift card balance is less than the total, Toast will prompt for an additional payment method to cover the remaining balance.
📝 Step-by-Step Instructions (Online / In-App)
The receiving customer will receive both a text and an email with instructions on how to redeem their gift card.
From the home page, navigate to account settings
Select Payment Methods
Select Redeem Gift Card and enter the gift card number provided in an email
The gift card will appear under payment methods and can be referenced there for in store purchases or at checkout online / in-app
💡 Tips
Gift cards only need to be added once and will stay saved until fully used.
If the gift card doesn’t cover the full order, customers can pay the remaining balance with another payment method.
Multiple gift cards can be stored under Payment Methods.
